Choosing God daily is what builds my faith. For a long time, I was confused about fear. Fear would rise in my heart every day—sometimes every moment. I wondered why. I questioned myself. I thought that if I had fear, maybe I was failing God. Maybe fear meant my faith was weak. Maybe God was not pleased with me. That thinking quietly created guilt inside my heart. But slowly, God began to show me something different. I realized that even in the midst of fear, I was still with God. Fear did not separate me from Him. Fear did not mean He had left me. Fear was not proof of failure—it was proof that I was human.
What matters is not the absence of fear, but the direction of my heart.
I want to feel God.
I want to walk along with Him.
Even when my hands are shaking.
Now, I no longer want to be destroyed by guilt just because fear appears. Instead of fighting fear alone, I choose to walk with God through it. Fear may come, but it does not get to lead my life.
Walking with God reduces fear—not instantly, but gently. Step by step. Moment by moment.
Some days, courage looks very small.
Some days, faith is simply choosing joy when I can.
Some days, victory is getting through the day without giving up.
And at the end of the night, when I look back, I can say this honestly:
I fought the fight well today.
Not because I was fearless.
But because I did not walk alone.
God does not ask us to be perfect. He asks us to stay with Him. He knows our fears. He understands our hearts. And He walks patiently beside us as we learn to trust Him more deeply.
If fear rises in your heart, do not condemn yourself.
If your faith feels small, do not give up.
Choose God again today.
Choose Him tomorrow too.
Because every time you choose God—even with fear still present—your faith grows stronger than you realize.
